Geva Theatre Center, a LORT B regional leader in Western New York is seeking a Full-Time Draper. Under the supervision of the costume shop manager, the draper is an integral member of a collaborative team. Primary job duties include, but are not limited to: Working closely with the shop manager to determine build load and schedule, determining construction methods and materials, draping and flat patterning for built costumes, leading fittings for all costumes, working closely with First Hand to lead daily construction and alterations, as well as guiding over-hire staff for larger productions. Candidate must possess strong communication and leadership skills; as well as being diligent, organized, collaborative, positive and professional. Summary:
The Events Intern will work closely with the Development Manager and other Geva staff to plan and produce Geva related events (donor cultivation, donor stewardship, openings, annual fundraisers, etc.) at the theatre and offsite.
Hours:
You should plan to work at least 2 days a week, with regular hours each week.
Event Days: schedule to be adjusted to accommodate for specific events.

Geva Theatre Center is looking for a very organized self-starter with enthusiasm for theatre to help us with special projects and to assist in the day-to-day operations of the Development Department during the Fall of 2012. Duties include: administrative tasks, assisting with donor research and database maintenance, special events work, assisting with business and corporate appeals, and preparing grant proposals with development staff. This person should be organized, efficient, outgoing, patient, tech-savvy, flexible and able to work independently. Intern must commit to a regular weekly schedule.
