Weekend workshops provide the opportunity for teachers to re-explore the artist within themselves. We invite teachers to sample a variety of theatre exercises to explore their own creativity and passion for communication in great sessions combining art, professional development and stretching “outside the box.”
No experience is required; these workshops are an ideal opportunity to try out new avenues for artistic expression, or to practice and hone skills you already use. Whether theatre is part of your teaching, or you're simply curious to try something new, come join us at Geva for your turn to be the artist.
No upcoming Hands On Workshops are scheduled at this time; please check back for future offerings!
Professional development credit may be available for your school; please inquire.
Our education advisory committee gives teachers a voice in Geva’s educational programming and provides a strong connection to implement that programming back into the classroom. The committee consists of educators from elementary, middle school, and high school levels, representing both inner city and suburban schools, and representatives from organizations that act as liaisons between cultural institutions and schools. Please contact (585) 232-1366 ext. 3058 if you have interest in joining the advisory committee.
