Interrupting Vanessa
By Colleen Neuman
In cooperation with
Arizona’s Childsplay Theatre
Vanessa likes being alone. She collects things, builds inventions and uses her imagination to enjoy memories of an old friend. One afternoon, Vanessa is surprised to find that her mother has invited someone to join her. Timmy Fibbins goes to her school, but Vanessa doesn’t really know him. All she knows is that he holds the world’s record for throwing up – 17 times since school started! These two unlikely companions find that they have many things in common, and Vanessa begins to see that having someone to share things with could be even better than being alone.
