Late Nite Catechism

Now playing through December 11!

By Vicki Quade and Maripat Donovan
Starring Colleen Moore as “Sister”

Catechism classes are never as much fun - or as hilarious - as when they are led by Sister in this international hit comedy! Audiences will be congregating in the Nextstage at Geva Theatre Center when Late Nite Catechism opens on November 2.

Late Nite Catechism is an uproarious piece of theatre that will strike a resonant chord with everyone who survived the ups and downs of going to school, with an omniscient authoritarian at the helm.

“Late Nite Catechism is one funny show. I laughed a lot and I’m not even Catholic.” —Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

“Late Nite Catechism speaks to an audience much broader than the membership of any one church.” -New York Times

“A delight from beginning to end.” -Chicago Sun-Times

Nominated for a NY Outer Critics Circle Award, Late Nite Catechism recently won an L.A. Drama Critics Circle Award and is currently playing in New York, Seattle, San Francisco, St. Louis, Vancouver, Scottsdale, New Orleans, Los Angeles and Chicago, where it has been playing to full “classes” since it opened in 1993. Productions in Boston, Sydney and Melbourne recently ended after playing for two years in each city.

Late Night Catechism is habit-forming and a great time out for groups of all ages! As the LA Tidings newspaper suggested in its’ review, “When you go to the delightful Late Nite Catechism, remember "to bring another soldier of Christ along." Chicago’s Catholic Explorer extolled the virtues of Late Night Catechism as “a perfect show for church groups looking for an outing.”
