“Two Jews Walk Into a War…” is an uproarious comedy with a twist of faith. Through a humorous story and unforgettable characters, Playwright Seth Rozin poignantly explores issues of faith, commitment and perseverance that keeps audiences laughing — and thinking — long past curtain call." -The Jewish Ledger
“This was a delightful interpretation of the serious existential dilemma Jewish individuals and communities deal with as part of laying the foundation for generations to come, with a hilarious dialogue performed by two exquisite actors." -Sharon M. Shafrir, Business Manager, Temple Sinai, Rochester (NY)
"This production showed the will of the Jewish people to survive under the most adverse conditions. This does not pertain only to Jewish people, universally to all who are oppressed. In spite of the seriousness, this was highly entertaining, You will laugh and sigh, this is a must see." -Stuart Blume, Commander, David J. Kauffman Post 41, Jewish War Veterans of the U.S.A.
Overview
Hysterically funny and amazingly poignant. Inspired by the true story of the last two surviving Jews in all of Afghanistan, the only thing seeming to bind this small Jewish community together is that they both hate each other‟s guts. In a dilapidated old synagogue in Kabul, this odd couple‟s bold solution for rebuilding their community not only brings them closer to the essence of their faith but, quite possibly, each other.
