Written by George Bernard Shaw Directed by Edward Payson Call
October 12 – November 14
On the Mainstage |
A quintessential Shaw comedy. Broadbent is a vigorous Englishman, hilariously susceptible to romantic ideas; Doyle is a melancholy Irishman with a rainy-day attitude. When the pair descends upon the town of Rosscullen, Ireland, politics are upended, love is uprooted, and the town’s “madman” sounds more and more like the only voice of reason.
