The Story: Tuesdays is the autobiographical story of sportswriter Mitch Albom and his former college sociology professor Morrie Schwartz. Sixteen years after graduation, Mitch finds himself a successful, career-obsessed journalist. He happens to see his mentor on Nightline; Morrie is now suffering from Lou Gehrig's Disease. Mitch decides to make just one farewell visit to see his old professor. Once he's there, Morrie asks him the question: "Are you being as human as you possibly can?"; As Mitch attempts to answer this, his one-time visit becomes a weekly ritual, and Morrie's lectures in sociology are replaced with lessons on the meaning of life and love.

The Experience: A gentle, humorous and heartfelt portrayal of a life well-lived - In Mr. Albom's words: "Leaves are never more colorful than just before they die."

The Buzz: Mitch Albom's book Tuesdays with Morrie has been on the New York Times Bestsellers List for over seven years and sold more than 15 million copies worldwide, in 31 languages. The stage adaptation opened off-Broadway in 2002 and a TV movie version garnered four Emmy Awards. Albom is also the author of the bestseller The Five People You Meet In Heaven.

The Fine Print: Bring your hanky.
