JESSICA AZENBERG (Ensemble) is absolutely thrilled to be making her debut in The Music Man at the Geva Theatre Center. Born and raised in New York City, she made her professional debut on ABC’s “One Life to Live” as Baby Jessica. She received a B.F.A. in dance from the Boston Conservatory. Favorite theatre credits include The Will Rogers Follies, 42nd Street, La Cage Aux Folles (Reagle Music Theatre), A Christmas Carol: The Musical (Alabama Shakespeare Festival), and White Christmas (LaComedia Theatre). MARK BLOCK (Olin Britt/Salesman) is thrilled to be making his Geva Theatre Center debut in The Music Man. He is an accomplished trombonist and life-long member of the Barbershop Harmony Society and has been featured in a number of community theatre productions including The Music Man, Anything Goes, Oklahoma, Guys and Dolls, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum and Little Shop of Horrors. Professional credits include local party band “Nik and the Nice Guys” and various dinner theatre productions including Joey and Maria’s Comedy Italian Wedding. Mr. Block would like to dedicate this run to his daughters, Rebecca and Alyssa, both just graduating from college and beginning their careers in New York City.
JOHN BOLTON (Harold Hill) made his Geva Theatre Center debut in 1985 in their first-ever production of A Christmas Carol, and since then has returned in 1776 and in the original production of Five Course Love. He last appeared on Broadway as the villainous Grady in Kander and Ebb's Curtains. He was in the original Broadway casts of Spamalot, Contact and Titanic, all three of which won the Tony Award for Best Musical. He starred as Finch in the last Broadway revival of How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and appeared on Broadway alongside Jerry Lewis in Damn Yankees. Other NY credits include The Bilbao Effect, Einstein's Dreams, Five Course Love, It's Only Life, extensive work with Project Shaw, Don't Quit Your Night Job and many all-star concerts, including Chance and Chemistry with Sir Paul McCartney. Mr. Bolton received rave reviews and a Footlight Award for his portrayal of the Old Man in A Christmas Story: The Musical, a role he will play again on tour this year. He has starred at major theatres all across the United States and Europe, appears on several cast recordings and has hosted many charity events in New York City. TV credits include the role of Bruce Caplan on the CW series “Gossip Girl”, has had recurring roles on “All My Children” and “As the World Turns”, guest roles on “Law & Order”, “Law & Order: Criminal Intent”, “Ed”, and “Guiding Light” and appearances on “Live From Lincoln Center”, “The Late Show”, “Today”, “The Rosie O'Donnell Show” and many more. He has a guest-starring role on the upcoming season premiere of HBO's award-winning “Boardwalk Empire”. Film credits include Heart and Soul and The Savages. A proud native of Rochester, Mr. Bolton was honored by the Rochester theatre community with their annual Spirit Award in 2008. He last appeared in Rochester as Nathan Detroit in Guys and Dolls with the RPO at The Eastman Theatre. “This one's for you, Dad!”
LUCAS BROWN (Ensemble) is honored to return to Geva Theatre Center, where he appeared in A Christmas Carol earlier this season. Stage credits include Next Generation Theatre’s production of Seussical and Cara D’Emanuele’s Honk! He studies voice and piano with Tom Harris and is a sixth grader at the 12 Corners Middle School where he is a member of the Drama Club. Lucas enjoys spending time with his friends and loves to travel. He would like to thank his Mom, Dad and brother Jack for their loving support and his friends, grandparents, vocal coach and church community for their endless encouragement. He would also like to thank Mark Cuddy for another opportunity to work in the Geva Mainstage!
LARRY BULL (Charlie Cowell / Ensemble/ u/s Harold Hill) is delighted to be returning to Geva Theatre Center, where his other appearances include Shear Madness, As You Like It, and A Christmas Carol. New York credits include Tom Stoppard’s The Coast of Utopia at Lincoln Center Theatre, and Kenneth - What is the Frequency? at the 78th St Theatre Lab and Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Regionally he’s worked with Denver Center Theatre (The Trip to Bountiful, A Christmas Carol), Actors Theatre of Louisville (The Mystery of Irma Vep), Shakespeare Theatre Company (Twelfth Night), Chautauqua Theatre Company (Arcadia), the Huntington Theatre Company (Amphitryon), Trinity Repertory Company (The Music Man), the Utah Shakespearean Festival (Our Town, Tartuffe), the Kennedy Center (Shear Madness), the Alabama Shakespeare Festival (The Count of Monte Cristo, Cymbeline), Cincinnati Playhouse and the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis (Dracula), Gulfshore Playhouse (A View from the Bridge, A Doll’s House) and Virginia Stage Company (Rough Crossing, Vaudeville). He won a Joseph Jefferson Award in Chicago for the role of Slim in Synergy Theatre’s Of Mice and Men. Other Chicago credits include Northlight Theatre and the Amicus Theatre Company.
HENRY CLAPP (Ensemble) is thrilled to be making his debut in the Mainstage at Geva Theatre Center. Henry is a member of the Drama Club at 12 Corners Middle School, took acting classes at Neptune Theatre School in Halifax, Nova Scotia and appeared in West Side Story with Cobblestone Theatre. His grandfather, Don Clapp, appeared frequently with Rochester Community Players and Shipping Dock Theatre. Henry thanks his teachers and staff at 12 Corners for their support, Lucas Brown for convincing him to audition, Tom Harris for voice coaching, and his Mom, Dad and brother for their encouragement.
MAX COLLER (Winthrop) is thrilled to be making his Geva Theatre Center debut in The Music Man. He got his start when he landed the role of Fred in GCYT’s performance of Oklahoma! He has also been in two Stages productions - 101 Dalmatians (Jasper) and Sleeping Beauty (Goon #2). Most recently Max earned the role of Chad in his Middle School’s production of High School Musical 2. He lives in Gananda with his parents and sister, Madison. In his spare time he keeps busy with his travel hockey team. Max is grateful to Mark Cuddy and the cast and crew for this amazing opportunity.
SAWYER DUSERICK (Ensemble) is thrilled to make his acting debut in Geva Theatre Center’s The Music Man! Sawyer is a second grader at Park Road Elementary in Pittsford where he has enjoyed being on stage in the school talent show for the past three years. He loves reading, lacrosse, ski racing, and playing the guitar. Sawyer enjoys both directing and starring in his own productions at home with his two sisters. He sends thanks to Cara D’Emanuele for her vocal direction, and love to mom, dad, Emelia and Alden. He is extremely grateful to Geva for this amazing opportunity!
GAVIN FLOOD (Ensemble) is delighted to return to Geva Theatre Center after spending this past holiday season in A Christmas Carol. Other Geva credits include A Christmas Carol and as Ralphie in A Christmas Story (2008, 2009). Gavin also has performed with the Rochester Children’s Theatre, STAGES, Gananda Youth Theatre, and most recently in his school musical. A Webster native, Gavin is in seventh grade at Allendale Columbia, where he is active in the Community Service Club, Science Bowl, chorus and student government. He is honored to be working with and learning from Mark Cuddy and all of the Geva staff. SOPHIA LOUISE FUSILLI (Ensemble) is excited to be making her Geva Theatre Center debut in The Music Man! She was last seen as Molly in Pittsford Musicals production of Annie. Sophia is eight years old and in second grade. She has been dancing for four years at DK dance. Other interests include music, lacrosse, waterskiing, and Justin Bieber! ANDRE GARNER (Marcellus) makes his Geva Theatre Center debut in The Music Man. A native of Newport News, Virginia, Mr. Garner is a graduate of Virginia Tech University (B.S.in Management). Broadway credits include Dr. Seuss’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas, The Music Man, Marie Christine, Grease, Encores! Lost In the Stars, and Encores! Broadway Bash 2003. Off-Broadway credits include Little Ham (Audelco Award Nom.), From My Hometown (Audelco Award Nom.). Mr. Garner has appeared in the national tours of The Color Purple with Fantasia, Abyssinia, Dreamgirls, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Miss Saigon. Much love to family and friends. For Geva he has acted in Evie’s Waltz (Clay), Hamlet (Ghost, First Player, Player King, Priest), 1776 (John Hancock), House and Garden (Giles), Art (Serge), Twelve Angry Men (Juror #1), A Girl’s Life (Ken and Louis Pasteur), Every Good Boy Deserves Favor (Alexander), The Illusion (Alcandre), Picasso at the Lapin Agile (Sagot) and State of the Union (Spike McManus). Directing credits at Geva include the world premiere of The House in Hydesville, American Buffalo, the world premiere of Key West, Death of a Salesman, Lobby Hero, Below the Belt, The Weir, Women Who Steal, Beast on the Moon, The Triumph of Love and Geometric Digression of the Species (for the Nextstage opening). Regional credits include seven seasons in the resident acting company of Sacramento Theatre Company, San Jose Repertory Company, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, American Conservatory Theatre, Utah Shakespeare Festival and Pacific Conservatory of Performing Arts. Film and TV credits include “Bloodhounds,” “LA Law,” and “VR5.” Mr. Greer has toured Europe, Africa, Indonesia, New Zealand, Australia and the Cook Islands teaching and performing.
KELLEY HAMILTON (Ensemble) makes her Geva Theatre Center debut in The Music Man. A graduate of Ithaca College and Eastman School of Music, Ms. Hamilton has been a professional singer and vocal music teacher in Monroe County for over 20 years and has directed numerous musicals and developed music and theatre curriculum and assessments for local school districts and colleges. She frequently presents singing master classes and workshops and started the Hamilton Voice Studio in 1991, teaching private voice lessons to students of all ages and abilities. She has appeared with the Buffalo Opera, Opera Theatre of Rochester, the Empire State Lyric Theatre, Rochester Chamber Orchestra and the Irondequoit Chorale. Her love of musical theatre began in 1980, when she attended a performance of her hometown high school's production...The Music Man!

SEAN JERNIGAN (Oliver Hix/Ensemble) is happy to be back at Geva Theatre Center with the cast of The Music Man. He was last seen at Geva in Sweeney Todd. A native of Tennessee, Mr. Jernigan has performed in numerous recitals, musical theatre productions, and opera venues. Other favorite roles include Dr. Craven (The Secret Garden), Danilo (The Merry Widow), Frankie Epps (Parade), Conrad Birdie (Bye Bye Birdie), and Schaunard (La Bohéme). He lives in Rochester, and when not on stage, teaches voice lessons and travels to conduct master classes and perform concerts. He’s looking forward to being based out of New York City as of this fall.
BRANDON LA (Ensemble) is excited to make his Geva Theatre Center debut in The Music Man. He is a freshman at Gates-Chili High School and is currently participating in the High School Show Choir, his school’s mixed choir, and Monroe County’s All-County Choir. His past performances include Hansel & Gretel at Robert’s Wesleyan College, School House Rock Jr. (George) and Once Upon a Mattress (Minstrel) at the Gates-Chili Middle School, and How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying (Mr. Jenkins) at Gates-Chili High School. ANALISA LEAMING (Marion Paroo) is beyond thrilled to be returning to Rochester and making her debut at Geva Theatre Center! Ms. Leaming graduated with her B.M. from the Eastman School of Music in 2007. Most recently she was seen in the New York City Encores! production of Where's Charley? (directed by John Doyle). Tours include Annie (Grace Farrell), The Sound of Music (Sister Sophia, Maria u/s). SARAH KAY MARCHETTI (Ensemble) makes her Geva Theatre Center debut in The Music Man. She has appeared in The Radio City Christmas Spectacular and national/international tours of Cats (Victoria) and West Side Story (Minnie). Regional credits include Cats (Victoria) at Sacramento Music Circus and at the Muny St. Louis (Victoria); Radio City Christmas Spectacular at the Grand Ole Opry. TV and Film credits include Boardwalk Empire; QVC; Head of State. Ms. Marchetti is a senior instructor at Physique 57 in New York City where she trains celebrities such as Kelly Ripa, Zooey Deschanel, and Parker Posey. She also appears in the original Physique 57 Classic 57 Minute Workout Video. Much love to her family, friends, and fiancé!

JORDAN McNEES (Ensemble) is thrilled to be returning to Geva Theatre Center where he last performed in A Christmas Story as Ralphie. Jordan recently appeared in the title role in the musical Oliver! with the Batavia Rotary, and as Black Beard in Brockport Oliver Middle School’s production of A Night at the Wax Museum, where he is in sixth grade. He is active in Boy Scouts, takes piano lessons, and loves to volunteer during the summer at the Brockport Seymour Library, as a book buddy. KRISTEN MENGELKOCH (Ethel Toffelmier/ Ensemble/ u/s Marion) happily returns to Geva Theatre Center after appearing in last season’s revival of Five Course Love. Off-Broadway she has performed with NEWSical The Musical, Forbidden Broadway and appears on the cast recording of FB Goes to Rehab. CASS MORGAN (Mrs. Paroo) is so happy to be back at Geva Theatre Center after over a 30-year absence. She comes directly from the 2010 Tony award winning Broadway musical Memphis, for which she received an Outer Critics Circle nomination. Her previous Broadway credits include Mary Poppins, Ring Of Fire, Beauty and the Beast, Capeman, The Human Comedy, Pump Boys And Dinettes (co- author), and Hair. Ms. Morgan has also worked extensively regionally and Off-Broadway, and among her favorite productions are The Immigrant, Floyd Collins, Violet, Merrily We Roll Along (York Theatre revival) Memphis (La Jolla and Seattle), Emmet Otter's Jug Band Christmas (Goodspeed), Runaway Beauty Queen (Fla. Studio theatre), Cabaret (National tour), Best Little Whorehouse In Texas (Raleigh NC), 1776 (Williamstown Theatre Festival )and Children Of Eden (Mill Mt. Playhouse). She spent eleven years with The New Harmony Project, which devotes itself to nurturing the writers of plays, musicals and films. Although she has played many wonderful parts over the years, her favorite role is that of Mom to Collin and Jocelyn, and Nana to Magdalena and Abigail.
KYLE MUELLER (Winthrop Paroo) is thrilled to be returning to Geva after playing Randy in A Christmas Story in 2009. He is nine years old and attends Allendale Columbia. Stage credits include Fiddler on the Roof at JCC, Chip in Beauty and the Beast and Freddy in Will Rogers Follies at Webster Schroeder. Recently, Kyle was named first chair baritone in the All-County Elementary Band and will be auditioning for the Hochstein Youth Wind Symphony this fall. He takes vocal lessons with Matthew Warren of Spry Middle School and also participates in gymnastics. In his free time, Kyle enjoys playing with his five siblings and is excited about the arrival of a new baby sister in June.
MEGAN MUELLER (Ensemble) is excited about returning to Geva after playing Tiny Tim in A Christmas Carol this past December. She is eight years old and is a third grader at State Road School in Webster. Megan takes dance lesson at Spins in Penfield and takes vocal lessons with Matthew Warren of Spry Middle School. At State Road, Megan participates in the select third grade chorus, Kiwanis Kids and girl scouts. In her spare time, Megan enjoys putting on shows in the basement with her five siblings.
BRITTANY MURCHIE (Ensemble) is very excited to make her debut at Geva Theatre Center. Favorite theatre credits include Kavinoky Theatre’s Anything Goes (Charity), Artvoice’s production of Pepper Park, performed at the Irish Classical Theatre in Buffalo, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at Shea’s Performing Arts Center. Ms. Murchie holds a B.F.A. and M.F.A. in theatre and dance performance. She spent four years training and working in Toronto with many great artists that include Robert Glumbek, Vicky St. Deny, David Connolly, and Nadia Potts. While attending Tisch School of the Arts in NYC, Brittany had the pleasure of working under the direction of Jill Johnson and Susan Marshall. She also performed the work of composer Lance Horne in a special presentation he did at Joe’s Pub in New York.
CHLOE PHELPS (Ensemble) is thrilled to be making her Geva Theatre Center debut in The Music Man. Stage credits include Chloe in Madeline's Christmas and Queenie in Honk! (Cara D'Emanuele Productions), The Cat in HONK! (Seton Catholic School). Chloe is in third grade at Seton Catholic School. She is honored to receive voice and stage training from Cara D'Emanuele and dance instruction from Fitzsimmons Dance Factory. Chloe sends love and thanks to her family, friends, Cara D'Emanuele and the Seton Catholic School community for their encouragement and support. He recently played Roger De Bris in The Producers opposite Roger Bart and Brad Oscar for Kansas City Starlight Theatre. Broadway original casts include The Drowsy Chaperone and In My Life. Other stage credits include White Christmas (Mike Nulty), the original cast of Bye Bye Birdie, City Center Encores!; Crazy For You, PBS Great Performances; King of Hearts, Goodspeed; A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (Hysterium) and Once Upon a Mattress (Prince Dauntless) at Music Theatre of Wichita. JERROD F. ROYSTER (Ensemble) is honored and excited to make his Geva Theatre Center debut in The Music Man. He began dancing at the age of eight and since graduating from high school Mr. Royster has worked with such artists as Jordin Sparks, Debby Ryan, Santagold and others. Jerrod has also performed as an Equity dancer in “Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage,” "Dream Along with Mickey" and "Celebrate the Season" at Walt Disney World Resort. His most recent accomplishment was a nine-month contract with Tokyo Disney Resort in" Big Band Beat" and he was recently seen in the Nationally Televised “Disney Christmas Parade” on ABC.
JEFF SALISBURY (Ensemble) is thrilled to be back at Geva where he previously performed in A Chorus Line. Mr. Salisbury graduated with honors from Pace University with a B.F.A in Musical Theatre. His Pace credits include Carousel (Dream Billy/Captain) and All Shook Up (Ensemble). Regional credits include Dames At Sea, Steel Pier, Music Man, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and The Nutcracker at the Eastman Theatre. ADRIANA SCALICE (Amaryllis) is thrilled to be making her Geva Theatre Center debut! She is a fifth grader at Cobbles Elementary in Penfield. Most recently she was in Macbeth (Fleance/Gentlewoman) with the Rochester Shakespeare Players. Other favorite performances include 42nd Street (Maggie Jones), and Godspell (Elizabeth). MELISSA STEADMAN (Zaneeta Shinn) makes her Geva Theatre Center debut in The Music Man. Ms. Steadman has performed with the Oklahoma City Philharmonic, Omaha Symphony, and Marvin Hamlisch in DC's Library of Congress and has appeared on a national television commercial for The University of Oklahoma. TREVOR STRADER (Ewart Dunlop/Ensemble) is thrilled to make his Geva Theatre Center debut in The Music Man. He is a recent graduate of the Eastman School of Music. Roles with Eastman Opera Theatre include Archibald Craven in The Secret Garden, Don Basilio in Le Nozze di Figaro, and The Prologue in The Turn of the Screw. Mr. Strader has performed with Mercury Opera Rochester, Lake George Opera, and in over 30 productions in the Albany area. He has competed and placed in many regional and national vocal competitions and has performed the national anthem at Madison Square Garden. He was a finalist in the 2011 Lotte Lenya Competition.
EMMA SYKES (Gracie Shinn) is thrilled to be making her theatre debut at Geva Theatre Center in The Music Man. She is a seventh grader at Bloomfield Middle School. Recent stage credits include Cara D’Emanuele Production's Madeline's Christmas (Madeline), BMS' Seussical, Jr., Canandaigua Youth Theatre's Beauty and the Beast and BMS's School House Rock, Jr. She studies voice and acting with Cara D'Emanuele and additional voice training from Riki Connaughton at Hochstein. JUSTIN URSO (Tommy Djilas) is thrilled to be making his Geva Theatre Center Debut in this production of The Music Man. He received his musical theatre training from the University of Michigan and spent several years dancing for Ben Stevenson in the Texas Ballet Theater in Fort Worth, Texas. ALLIE WAXMAN (Ensemble) is thrilled to be returning to Geva Theatre Center after enjoying five seasons with A Christmas Carol. PATRICK WILLAERT (Ensemble) makes his Geva Theatre Center debut in The Music Man. He is a recent graduate of the Eastman School with a Bachelor’s of Music in vocal performance. With the Eastman Opera Theatre he has been seen as Lt. Shaw in The Secret Garden, Bobby in Cabaret, and he originated the role of George Grossmith in Steven Daigle’s arrangement of Mozart’s The Impresario. Other credits include the Herald in Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, Harvey Johnson in Bye Bye Birdie, Jacey Squires in The Music Man, and Schroeder in You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown. A native of Davenport, IA, Patrick is pleased to be returning to River City with Geva Theatre.

Television credits include host of PBS Kids’ Healthy You (2009-2012). MEREDITH WILLSON (Book, Music and Lyrics) was born on May 18, 1902 in Mason City, Iowa. He learned to play the flute as a child and began playing semi-professionally while still in high school. He left Iowa to study at the Damrosch Institute of Musical Art (later the Julliard School) and was principal flutist and piccolo player for the John Philip Sousa Band. He then joined the New York Philharmonic as first flutist. He moved to radio work, serving as concert director for KFRC in San Francisco and later as musical director at NBC, first in San Francisco and then in Hollywood. As a musical director and conductor, Willson was known for his work on the popular radio programs, “Carefree Carnival,” “Maxwell House Coffee Time” and Tallulah Bankhead’s “The Big Show.” He wrote the theme song for Maxwell House Coffee Time (“You and I”) which became a number one hit, “May the Good Lord Bless and Keep You” as the show closer for “The Big Show,” and the University of Iowa fight song. Willson composed scores for Chaplin’s The Great Dictator and Hellman’s The Little Foxes as well as symphonic, band and choral works During World War II, he was a Major in the US Army and Musical Director for the Armed Forces Radio Service. Willson’s 1951 song “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas” was made famous by Perry Como. The Music Man opened on Broadway in December of 1957 and ran for 1,357 performances winning eight Tony Awards. The cast album won the very first Grammy Award ever presented. The 1962 film version earned the Academy Award for Best Musical Score. Wilson also wrote The Unsinkable Molly Brown which opened on Broadway in 1960 and Here’s Love (a musical adaptation of Miracle on 34th Street) which opened on Broadway in 1963. He is the author of two autobiographical works – And There I Stood with My Piccolo and Eggs I Have Laid, one novel – Who Did What to Fedalia and a memoir about the making of The Music Man – But He Doesn’t Know the Territory. Meredith Willson died in Santa Monica in 1984 and was buried in his Iowa hometown.
MARK CUDDY (Director) is in his sixteenth season as Artistic Director of Geva Theatre Center. This season he directed and adapted a new production of A Christmas Carol. Last season, he directed A Christmas Story and a special one-night concert of Gregg Coffin’s Convenience reuniting the original cast. Mr. Cuddy is well known for his staging of premieres, contemporary comedies and musical theatre. Among his Geva Theatre Center productions have been the Mainstage and Nextstage productions of Fences; Sweeney Todd; A Christmas Story; Pride and Prejudice (which he also co-adapted); Bad Dates; Our Town; Tuesdays With Morrie; Urinetown; Splitting Infinity; Vigil; A Chorus Line; Hamlet; That Was Then (American premiere); Convenience (world premiere musical); 1776; Proof; the world premiere of Thornton Wilder’s Theophilus North which was also seen at Arena Stage in Washington, D.C.; The Miser; the East Coast premieres of both House and Garden; Quilters; Art; Famous Orpheus (world premiere musical) with Garth Fagan Dance; Every Good Boy Deserves Favor with the RPO; Golf With Alan Shepard; Picasso at the Lapin Agile and State of the Union. Prior to his tenure at Geva Theatre Center, Mr. Cuddy directed a number of world and American classics while Artistic Director of the Idaho Shakespeare Festival and Sacramento Theatre Company.
DON KOT (Musical Director) is happy to return to Geva Theatre Center where he is an Associate Artist. Don has performed Off-Broadway at the 45 Bleecker Street Theatre, Laurie Beechman Theatre, and at the Toronto Fringe Festival. Other regional credits include The Best of Forbidden Broadway, Smokey Joe's Café, Leader of the Pack, Honk!, and The Most Happy Fella. Don has played for the national touring productions of Fosse, Footloose, Fiddler on the Roof, The King and I, Mamma Mia and Hairspray. Don was recently appointed the Director of the music theatre degree program at Nazareth College of Rochester.

PAMELA SCOFIELD (Costume Designer) designed last season’s production of Almost, Maine. Previous Geva designs include The Ladies Man, A Chorus Line, Sherlock Holmes – The Final Adventure and dozens of others going back to Keystone. Off-Broadway credits include I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change; The Summer o f ’42; Almost, Maine and Over the River and Through the Woods. She designed the national tour and Madison Square Garden production of Cinderella with Eartha Kitt and has designed several editions of the Grammy Awards. Regional credits include Actors’ Theatre of Louisville, Syracuse Stage, Indiana Repertory Theatre, Pittsburgh Public, The Asolo, Berkshire Theatre Festival and many musicals, new and old for Goodspeed Opera and Northshore Music Theatre. She is a collaborator with and designer for dramatic dancer Joan Evans with whom she shares several awards include Edinburgh’s Fringe First Award for Where Ravens Rule. She just completed designs for two new plays marking the sesquicentennial of the Civil War for Alabama Shakespeare Festival.
THOMAS J. MUNN (Lighting Designer) makes his Geva Theatre Center debut with The Music Man. An internationally recognized Lighting Designer, he has designed for theatre, opera, ballet, television, videos, and industrials. Recent designs include Bluebeard’s Castle (Mondavi Center); Tilly Nobody and Elephant’s Graveyard (UC Davis Side Show Physical Theatre); Beauty and the Beast, Julius Caesar and The Yellow Leaf (Pioneer Theatre Company); Rodelinda (Portland and Dallas Opera Companies). A graduate of Boston University School of Fine and Applied Arts, he made his Broadway debut in 1974 designing scenery for Brightower by Dore Schary. In 1976 he became the Resident Lighting Designer and Design Consultant for the San Francisco Opera, a position he held until 2001. He continued to design for that company through 2006. During his tenure with SF Opera he designed Lighting, special efx and/or scenery for over 200 productions. Included is the Emmy-nominated televised world premiere of A Streetcar Named Desire (Projection Design and Lighting) and Mr. Munn’s Emmy Award-winning work on La Gioconda (Lighting Design) and the 1985 and 1990 Ring Cycle. Munn’s credits as Lighting Director for television and Video include Dangerous Liaisons, Samson et Dalila, La Bohème, Aida, Orlando Furioso, L’Africaine , Capriccio, Turandot, and The Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny as well as numerous special events and live broadcasts for network and PBS television. He has designed for Teatro Regio in Turin, Italy, The Netherlands Opera, Washington Opera, New York City Opera, San Diego, Dallas, Boston, Portland and Pittsburgh Operas; Ballet and Dance designs include the Mary Anthony Dance Theatre in New York City, touring productions of The Nutcracker (sets and lights) and Coppelia for the Hartford Ballet and Ballet Arizona. He has worked on prestigious projects such as the renovated War Memorial Opera House in San Francisco, Het Musiktheatre in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and the lighting for the renovation and restoration of St Mark’s Lutheran Church, a landmark building in San Francisco. In 2003 Mr. Munn joined the faculty at UC Davis as Professor in the Department of Theatre and Dance teaching Lighting Design.

DAN ROACH (Sound Designer) has, since 1988, worked on sound for numerous productions at Geva Theatre Center, NTID’s Theatre for the Deaf, SUNY Brockport, and Keuka College. Most recent productions at Geva include Over the Tavern; Almost, Maine; Dracula, the Shape of Evil with PUSH Physical Theatre; Evie’s Waltz; Dial M for Murder; The Underpants; Nine Parts of Desire; Doubt and A Christmas Story. This show marks the tenth collaboration with Skip Greer as director, at Geva, which is always a wonderful and rewarding experience. His projection designs include Triple Bill of Chamber Operas and The Secret Garden at Eastman Opera Theatre. He studied sound at Berklee College of Music in Boston and has been applying that knowledge to theatre over the past 22 years. He currently works full time for the Hillside Family of Agencies as their webmaster and is grateful for their flexibility in providing time to pursue his love of theatre and sound design. He is a resident of Brighton where he lives with his beautiful wife Jing.
JEAN GORDON RYON (Dramaturg) serves as New Plays Coordinator at Geva Theatre Center where, among other duties, she produces the Regional Writers Showcase and the Young Writers Showcase. She was dramaturg for 1776, John Bull’s Other Island, That Was Then, Shear Madness, The Underpants, and The Clean House, Geva’s new production of A Christmas Carol, and she has contributed dramaturgical research and written program articles for several other productions. Ms. Ryon holds a degree in drama from Tufts University and a master’s degree in Arts Administration from Goucher College. Her most recent directing credits in the community include Grace and Glorie, Master Class, Blithe Spirit, Pride’s Crossing, and The Gin Game for Blackfriars, The Chosen and The Immigrant for JCC’s CenterStage, Juno and the Peacock, Da, Translations, Someone Who’ll Watch Over Me, Waiting for Godot, The Kings of the Kilburn High Road, Dancing at Lughnasa, Faith Healer, The Hostage, Love in the Title, and The Cripple of Inishmaan for RCP’s Irish Players, and Romeo and Juliet and Much Ado About Nothing for RCP’s Shakespeare Players. Ms. Ryon is also the Artistic Director of The Geriactors, a traveling troupe of mature actors.
KIRSTEN BRANNEN (Stage Manager) celebrates her tenth season with Geva Theatre Center, over which she has stage managed Over the Tavern, Amadeus, Five Course Love, Underneath the Lintel, Souvenir, 3 Mo’ Divas; Fences; Sweeney Todd; A Christmas Story; Ella; Pride and Prejudice; Cabaret; Sherlock Holmes: The Final Adventure; Urinetown, the Musical; Our Town; Dial M for Murder; Inherit the Wind; Shear Madness; The Road Home: Re-Membering America; A Chorus Line; That Was Then; Broadway Bound; Camelot; Death of a Salesman; Biloxi Blues; 1776; 36 Views; Cookin’ at the Cookery; Convenience; Flyin’ West; Hibernatus Interruptus: A Festival of New Plays and A Christmas Carol 2001-2010. She was a stage manager for nine years at PCPA Theaterfest in Santa Maria, California. At PCPA, she served as the Production Stage Manager and taught the stage management curriculum. She was a stage manager for such productions as My Fair Lady, 42nd Street, Someone Who’ll Watch over Me, Gypsy, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, The Who’s Tommy and the World Premiere of The Daly News. Originally from Victor, she is very happy to again make her home in the Rochester area. Ms. Brannen is a graduate of Ithaca College and a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association.
