Sister is preparing her classroom for another long year of Catechism! You are in store for a hysterical lesson with Back to School Catechism: The Holy Ghost and Other Terrifying Tales. In this session we find out the Church's take on all the familiar tales of ghosts and goblins.

COLLEEN MOORE returns to Geva Theatre Center for her fourth season of Late Nite Catechism “classes.” Ms. Moore has enjoyed playing the role of Sister in national tours and Off-Broadway for several years.  Of particular relevance:  Miss Moore was taught by Sisters of the Holy Cross at Blessed Sacrament School and at St. Mary’s High School in Alexandria, Virginia.  Miss Moore lives in New York City.



MARIPAT DONOVANoriginated the role of Sister in Late Nite Catechism and has toured internationally, receiving rave reviews for her work in Chicago, Boston, Providence, New York, Toronto, Philadelphia, Seattle, Portland, London and Dublin. She has worked in Chicago theatre for more that 20 years, winning Joseph Jefferson citations for her work in Portrait of a Shiksa and The Good Times are Killing Me. For her work in Late Nite Catechism, she was nominated for the coveted Outer Critics Circle Award in New York for Outstanding Solo Performances. She won the Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Solo Performance in Los Angeles.


Stage Manager

BECCA POCCIA (Stage Manager)is in her third season at Geva Theatre Center, where she has served as dramaturg for All Your Questions Answered and Tinker to Evers to Chance; as stage manager for Sister’s Christmas Catechism, Late Nite Catechism 2: Sister Strikes Again!, the Plays in Progress series and the Festival of New Theatre; and as venue manager for the First Niagara Rochester Fringe Festival. Ms. Poccia holds an M.F.A. in Dramaturgy from Columbia University and also works as a freelance dramaturg; favorite credits include Goliath (Planet Connections Theatre Festivity) and the world premieres of AK-47 Sing Along (New York International Fringe Festival), Lifetime Fairytale (Columbia Stages), Dirt: Part 1 (Enthuse Theater) and Foreign Wars (Random Access Theatre).
