Coinciding with Geva's presentation of Underneath the Lintel - about a librarian who embarks on a quest to find out who anonymously returned a library book that is 113 years overdue - patrons may donate a new or gently used book to the Central Library on 115 South Avenue and receive a credit of $1 per book for overdue fines up to a total credit of $15 (excluding lost books or collection agency accounts). The books collected will benefit the Rochester Literacy Movement, the Rochester Public Library and branch libraries book give-away projects. At lunchtime, actor Daniel Pearce who plays the Librarian will be on hand at the Central Library to talk about the play, his role and to give library staff and patrons a taste of what they can expect to see when they attend a performance of Underneath the Lintel. For that evening’s performances of Underneath the Lintel at 7pm and Almost, Maine at 8pm, Geva will offer patrons who present their Monroe County Library Systems card 50% off of the price of a gourmet cookie in the Geva Café.
